This fee may seem outrageous to some, but let us assure you that it is in the best interest of both LELiPHENT. and you the client. At the point of initial contact many potential clients would like for a designer to give feedback about the already existing web site, along with ideas of what to change and how one could make the site better.
In the event that a client does not have an existing site, there is usually an extensive amount of information the client would like the designer to view in hopes of developing a rough idea of a site.
We ask for a small fee to do this for a few reasons:
One, being that this process takes time and energy to produce an accurate critique of an existing site, keeping in mind the marketing perspective which most clients wish to achieve. Also, compiling all of the information a client would like to present to the desired audience, and developing a rough draft of how to present this information in a web site format takes a significant amount of time that could be spent on an already existing client's needs.
Two, in the past LELiPHENT. has offered out free estimations with potential clients, which the end result has been the potential client using the feedback produced by LELiPHENT. and price shopping for another designer to put together what we have drafted for them. We are looking to decrease the potential to pursue this action.
Three, we feel that this is an informal incentive for the client to work with LELiPHENT. Knowing that the client is paying for this service will help ensure that the critique will be quality feedback, in hopes of generating a new client to our family. We strongly believe that those potential clients that are looking to create and/or update their web site based on the value it holds for their company and clients, will have no problem with an estimation fee.
